Bring Back Baby Sweater
Bring Back Baby Sweater is worked flat in garter stitch. It is worked top down, with the right and left side worked separately. These parts are sewn together and the cuffs, hem and ribbing at the neckline are worked at the end. Use your yarn scraps or play with different colour combinations from your stash. Please do not forget to check the correct gauge! It may be helpful to use the same kind of yarn. This makes it easier to achieve the same gauge with the same needle size.
Yarn: Pop Merino by HipKnitShop.
Amount of yarn: Col. 1 (Hubba Bubba) 1 (2) 2 (3) 3 (3) 4 skeins, col. 2 (Safari Night) 2 (2) 2 (2) 2 (3) 3 skeins, col. 3 (Jelly Bean Green) 1 (2) 2 (3) 3 (3) 4 skein(s), col. 4 (Hey Sailor Blue) 1 (1) 1 (1) 2 (2) 2 skein(s). The instruction has more detailed information about yardage, so it is easier to choose an alternative yarn or to work with stash yarn. There are also tips on how to use less yarn by making slight changes, so you may need 1-2 skeins less than indicated.
Sizes: 6 months (1) 2 (3) 4 (6) 8 year(s).
Fit: The sweater is designed with an oversize fit. The pictured kid is 13 months old, 78 cm long and wears size 1 year.
Measurements: Chest circumference 61 (67) 70 (74) 77 (81) 86 cm. Inner sleeve length 16 (20) 24 (26) 28 (31) 35 cm (with folded cuff, as pictured). Total length, excl. ribbing at neckline, approx. 26 (30) 33 (37) 41 (45) 49 cm.
Recommended needles: Circular needle 4 mm 80 cm, circular needle 3,5 mm, 30 & 40 cm. Dpns 3,5 mm. If you work with the Magic Loop method, you can skip the dpns and the 30 cm circular needle. The needle size is just a recommendation. Please knit a gauge swatch first!
