Curly Cuff Beanie 2.0
The Curly Cuff Beanie 2.0 is worked bottom up. First, the curly cuff is worked with bouclé, whereafter you change the yarn and work the actual beanie. The top of the beanie is shaped with decreases at 4 spots and the remaining stitches are pulled together. For the final finish, the curly cuff is folded twice.
Yarn alternatives: (1) Mohair by Canard: For the beanie: 2-trådet Kidmohair, 1-trådet Kidmohair and Brushed Lace (3 threads together). For the curly cuff: 1 Faden Mohair Bouclé. (2) Rauma: For the beanie: 2 threads Tumi. For the curly cuff: 1 thread Pillpi. (3) Drops: For the beanie: 2 threads Flora. For the curly cuff: 1 thread Alpaca Bouclé.
Amount of yarn: 1 skein per yarn type for all sizes in alternatives with Drops and Mohair by Canard. For the alternative with Rauma, you need 2 skeins of Tumi and 1 skein of Pillpi for all sizes.
Sizes: Head circumference: 54-56 cm (56-58 cm) 58-60 cm. Choose the size based on your head circumference. The stated sizes are not the sizes for the finished beanie!
Measurements: Width finished beanie (flat): 24 cm (25 cm) 26 cm. For both yarn types.
Recommended needles: Circular needle 3,5 mm, 40 cm. Dpns 3,5 mm.
Gauge: 20 stitches in stockinette stitch (both yarn types) = 10 cm.
