Curly Cuff Hoodie
Curly Cuff Hoodie consists of two layers that are worked separately. One layer is made out of Vams PT3 and is felted, the other layer is made out of Pillpi, a bouclé yarn which creates a curly effect. Both layers are sewn together at the end.
Yarn: Vams PT3 and Pillpi by Rauma. Yarn alternatives for Pillpi by Rauma: Mohair Bouclé by Mohair by Canard, Curly by Järbo or Alpaca Bouclé by Drops.
Amount of yarn: 5 skeins Vams PT3 and 3 skeins Pillpi.
Size: One Size.
Measurements: Length (from top to lower edge): approx. 45 cm. Width (from centre back to front edge): approx. 31 cm.
Recommended needles: Circular needles 4 and 6 mm (40 cm). Remember that the needle size is just a recommendation. Knit a gauge swatch first!
Gauge: Vams PT3 after felting: 18 sts x 30 rows in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm. Pillpi (no felting): 18 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
WATCH OUT! Felting is not an exact science and the result depends on several factors. Depending on which washing machine and/or which washing program is used or even with which other garments your work is washed, the result can vary.
